I've already stated how I'm voting, but I have a goddamn right to vote however I want and have an opinion about national politics no matter how I vote. Telling people not to complain is just another way of saying, "Be like me or shut up." Nope.
Nobody should convict you of thought crimes. IT IS PERFECTLY LEGAL to disagree.
But think of it this way. Trump supporters feel the exact same way. They think they are as right as you think you are. So objectivity and pragmatism has to be the measure.
My point in 2016 was the same as it is now in 2020. If you agree that Trump is the biggest threat, and he is, then it isn't a matter of purism, but pragmatism.
You absolutely SHOULD reject demands of blind loyalty. But even given that, Trump remains the biggest threat wich in logic should lead one away from purity tests if unity is likely to defeat the bigger threat.
I am personally pissed to see the same divisions between Bernie and Hillary that I am now seeing between Bernie and Biden.
Having point of view of who is more likely to defeat Trump is fine. Ignoring the fact he wants us divided on that issue will give him what he wants. At some point the left has to pick our battles and unite.
