I used to smoke and I quit cold turkey, well, more like a sawtooth weening. When I wanted to smoke I would try not to and when that urge became too great I would buy a pack. The instant I thought about quitting I would focus on that idea and destroy the pack. Rinse and repeat and the times between buying a pack increased and the amount of time a pack survived in my house decreased. Now I don't even think about smoking....

Much.

The real question, or underlying problem is how to "enjoy life", ultimately that is why we turn to things like smoking, drinking, caffeine, or whatever other compulsions grab us. My answers have been rock climbing, playing bass guitar, swing dancing, getting married, having a child. In that order.

I still drink booze and then energy drinks in the morning to cure the hangover, so no real solutions from me just replacement behaviors.

That stuff in bold is exactly my issue right now .

How do i enjoy life without any of the bad habits

Huh

When i did not use the gum on Sunday due to the lock down , my head was feeling like at least 10 kilo grams extra

Only few people understand that problem .

So i have decided to use 1 gum per day .

I don't find anything interesting to do or put it simply how else am i supposed to enjoy my life ??

Huh

I quite simply don't believe you. Quitting nicotine is a chemical process with predictable side effects. So, either you were such a light smoker that the side effects of quitting were easy to ignore, or you are just downplaying the effect within yourself through some self-delusion.

Why i sort of quit the last quit smoking forum is because people take this too lightly
