I can imagine that a young person who's just figuring out he's an atheist would find these encouraging. It's well produced and she looks good, so it's like finding out that a cool kid shares your opinion about something.
The lyrics, though, sound just like half the posts on this forum. Straightforward, "here's what I think," and not expressed with poetry, wit, irony, self-deprecation, etc. It's what British people might call "all a bit 'worthy,'" as if we're supposed to approve rather than enjoy.
I don't know if Rufus Wainwright is an atheist, but he could write a song about not believing that was also a pleasure to hear.
