The word 'gas' in context is only misleading to thunderingly ignorant people who can't grasp that it's short for 'gasoline'. I don't really think the OP was asking about the price of helium.

When I read the title my mind immediately jumped to the video above. The word gas is used in the U.S only, around here we call it "Banzine", which is "fuel".
Though I watched tons of American media to realize that Americans call "fuel" with "gas". Even "Friends" picked up on the word in the video I posted.
