Apart from one of the biggest sea harbours in the world, not that much.

Rotterdam can be best compared to Liverpool in the UK, or Bremerhaven in Germany. Very industrious, lots of working class housing and flats, lots of unemployment, parts that can be best described as ghetto's. But also some very nice places to live, nice parks, a sense of unity and pride, a hatred for Amsterdam and Ajax in particular, and an excellent nightlife scene.
