There's lots of rare vintage cars out there. Most are rare for a reason. They were junk when they were new, and now they're just old junk.
Absolutely correct. I own a fairly rare Macedonian silver coin, minted about 40 years after Alexander’s death. It’s worth about $200. Why so little? Because there’s not a great deal of interest in this particular coin.
But as I said, ‘vintage’ is used by dealers in and collectors of old stuff. It’s just a convenient way to give a rough idea of an item’s age. Within the trade, it isn’t meant to necessarily imply value.
