Fresh water isn't being recycled as fast as we consume it.

'Is not being'... is not 'cannot be'.

We're consuming too much.

Hardly.

Every thing we have comes from the natural world and we're consuming too much.

A few elements of the periodic table want a word with you on the first part. You assert the latter part over and over again, without ever establishing what 'too much' is. Certainly it isn't enough for the capitalists to stop squeezing even more blood from stones.

Fresh water goes into farms, factories and homes.

I hear it also falls out of the sky. Potential answers to your problems here: remove animal farms, insert hydroponics farms (little-no water wasted), efficient 'green' factories that don't pollute the water (i don't see how a machine could otherwise 'waste' it), and make every home's water usage efficient. We can't exactly keep everyone from sweating, but we certainly can keep recycling their urine and shit.

More farms are needed for an ever growing population, more farms require more space and water.

Subterrenian -> space. Hydroponics -> water.

We're running out of both of these.

Got some space in the north. Lots of it. And a whole continent down south. Australia is pretty empty of people across most of it. And then there's always underground and on the ocean floor/surface of the ocean. I'm not following you on the space running out just yet. And since we're so busy running out of water: why not make more? Or find more. It's harder getting down here, sure... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_table but tell me it's not there. And if the rich cocksuckers would pay for it: there are some expensive and highly inefficient methods. And when scientists figure out how to make saltwater drinkable... I hope to all fucking hell you doomsayers shut up.
