And refused to return the smokes when the cashier asked. And resisted arrest, refusing to get into the back of a police car, and the officer's were incapable of forcing him into the car due to his being very big and strong, despite trying to talk him down etc for a long time, so tried to pacify him with the (ridiculous but authorised) neck-kneeling. you missed that part out rev.

Yes, people of all ethnicities have been killed, but it seems more likely that the cops can kill a black person and get away with it than they can with a white person.
If I were a cop in the US I'd be...on edge, what with the number of firearms in civilian hands, but yes, police training fail is evident.
My bold: I guess that's the real crux of the issue. Whether that's a uniform fact or it just "seems" that way..well, I read that the killers through suffocation of white Tony Timpa (who also repeatedly said "I can'y breathe") didn't even lose their jobs so.....

Thing is, that's entirely irrelevant to the actual incident of his death. Those crimes happened in Houston, several years before he moved to Minnesota. In an arrest like this, what he did in another city does not matter.
Perhaps his career-criminal jailbird history is fundamental as to why he died - in that he couldn't bear the thought of going back to prison YET AGAIN and that's why he resisted arrest so vehemently.
