My only advice here in the U.S. I can give you is don't move to California....Head straight to Seattle....lol
Don't get me wrong..I love California as a vacation spot...San Fransisco is so beautiful during the Fall and Spring....(Along with a couple of hours North of S.F. is the Great Red wood forest and lakes etc.) L.A. is nice during the summer and has a lot to do....San Diego has some really nice beaches and 1 hour South of there is Tijuana.
HOWEVER, I lived there long enough to know that I will never live there again, and about 99% of the people that have lived and moved from CA has said the same....I guess if you just want an experience for a year or two in trying it out..go for it...but everything that I just mentioned is all that is good about CA....(Well, one more thing would be a few hundred-thousand good looking ladies. But that's if you can get past all the plastic and caked on make-up)....lolol
