A really hard question on Satan and deception.

The entire way of the Earth was corrupt, animals included.

Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth. (Genesis 6:11-13)

As you know, exposure to human beings can change animals behavior, so when human beings became nearly entirely corrupt, it effected the animals too.

So what had all the plants and bacteria and fungi done to be so corrupt?

And only a small percentage of animals have exposure to humans even now, so what were the crimes of the animals not so exposed?

Galatians 5:9

A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

You must know about the interconnected nature of the biosphere, and the interdependencies therein. If one species starts being abnormal, it will cause a chain reaction..and soon the whole thing will be off kilter.

I don't believe plants and lower lifeforms have souls.
