Or... maybe... they should cut into a patrolmans 400k a year salary and hire another emt?  Or another social worker.  Or both.  Or both and another cop too.  

This is a disingenuous argument.  Yes, Sama, yes, there are better things that a trained law enforcement officer can be doing with their time than respond to medical emergencies or make wellchecks.  If it prevents encounters that lead to shootings......what, exactly, is the problem?
