At the entrance to work, my temperature needs to be taken.
I already normally have a high temperature. Add that to the humid Florida heat and there being an air conditioning unit blowing hot hair on me right outside the front entrance while I'm waiting for the nurse to answer the door when the doorbell does not work half the time. All that added up, my initial temperature reading is usually over a hundred degrees.
The first time it happened, I said, "Guess I'll go home."
The nurse said, "No, you won't".
And I thought to myself, so much for following the rules.
Now I generally have to sit in the lobby for a few minutes for my temperature to go down before the nurse takes it again and clears me to work.
