Your god sets the worst example possible for humans to follow. Who should I kill first? The homosexuals, the disobedient children or the violators of the sabbath?
You shouldn't kill anyone.
Quote:The mosaic law was for a time and place, and that time has passed. The rules were harsh because the times were harsh and so were the people.
Your god changes what he deems right and wrong as humans become more educated and less violent? That's gotta be a real pain in the ass to keep up with, since god isn't exactly putting out any new books for us to get the addendums.
Quote:Your story is common. You get out into the world, discover you like sin more than you love God, and then quickly abandon the faith, mostly as rebellion against your parents. Then you try to justify it by saying God is immoral, but it was your own immorality that led to abandoning God wasn't it. Funny how that works.
I've already addressed this one with you. I have the same answer. When I was a christian, I started researching to find out what was wrong with me. I wanted to know why I didn't get it and my father did. I went out trying to prove the bible true and only found fraud ... tons of it. Piles of it.
I didn't "discover" sin when I was 18 and think, "WHAT'S THIS?!?! IT'S AWESOME" ... and your accusation of this is event in my life is what you need for you to make sense of the actual reality. Funny how that works hmm.
EDIT, PS: I can't back this up because you don't know my father, but even my father would tell you that I never really rebelled. I simply walked away from christianity. Its even reasonable to assume that I've lived a more fair, honest and moral life than you and many of your jesus licking, hypocrite brothers-in-christ.
