Assuming that is a typo and he means atheist, atheisim really has nothing at all to do with any of the things posted.
Atheists can beleive in ghosts, souls, magic and in the right circumstance even demons so long as those demons are not, or do not involve gods. So unless a god enters the scene you're still an atheist.
I've heard of plenty of cults out there and I really couldn't care less about the social stigma surrounding them, it's just another religion that needs to bear the burden of proof.
As far as personal experiences go, I spent much of my youth beleiving such tales as psychics, chakras and even magick. After trying to make just about all of them work and nummerous wasted hours of research, and noticing many others do the same to no avail I concluded it all as BS. That isn't to say I have not seen something I could not explain but, without further testing it would not have been appropriate to conclude any of those events as working magick.
