I will not supply evidence for ghosts in this post (although I have a case study or two if required), but I shall present evidence for mediumship. Indridi Indridason was born in Iceland in 1883 and died in 1912. He was one of the greatest mediums of his generation.
The first great test of Indridi Indridason came on 24 November 1905. He told the Experimental Society (who where studying his mediumship abilities) that a fire would break out in Copenhagen. The head of the Experiment Society (ES) then proceeded to tell the Bishop of Iceland the following day. On month latter a boat arrived in Iceland which brought news of a tragic fire in Copenhagen on the 18 December 1905.
After this event the ES wished impartial witnesses to witness what they were beginning to realise was a great opportunity for study into the paranormal. As such, in 1906, the ES invited the Bishop of Iceland, a high-up magistrate and the British consul to Iceland to witness Indridason. All where amazed and none could prove any fraudulent activity-despite having inspected both the medium and the room before the séance. The Bishop was so impressed that he invited Indridason back to his residence where the same amazing results were replicated-this ruled out the chance that the ES building was rigged and added further validity to Indridason.
At this point DR Hannesson, a noted scientist and known sceptic of this sort of thing, desided to begin an investigation. The Doctor-latter Professor-carried out various tests on the medium in the ES building and in other neutral locations, both during the day and at night. After many months of research Hannesson concluded that he could find not even a hint that any fraudulent activity was taking place.
Indridason died before further research could be conducted, but he stands up as a powerful case for the existence of mediumship.
