If we go by your wishes and neglect that you could be making stuff up or have mental problems, someone could have been pulling a trick on you (you said there were other people). And you would have to give much more details in order for anyone to construct what really happened.
Or maybe someone inadvertantly kicked the table and you haven't noticed it but only noticed moving of the plate on the table. People have been kicking tables under strict supervision to fake they have telekinesis and got away with it, so why not by accident?
