Mildly interesting factlet: Kermit was the only muppet to cross over from ‘Sesame Street’ to ‘The Muppet Show’ (as long as you don’t count one guest appearance by Big Bird).

To keep things somewhat on track (although I think that ship has sailed) Kermit is an Irish name meaning ‘free man’.

I looked up my surname to see how wrong American name sites would get it.
