I'm a Yank, but there are times when I seriously wonder if we'd be better off if we were still a part of the UK. At this point, besides some legal issues that strike me as very dodgy, the biggest thing that makes me reconsider this idea is that, well, this idiot is the most powerful man in the country:
And I seriously considered that if Trump actually won the election, I'd create a political party called The Breunion Party. The platform: We win, we're going to do what we can to convince the UK to take us back. I'm not sure if posting an announcement on the Anglophile blog where I write would have flown, since Jonathan has a strict no-politics policy, but I think that if I did, the most politically specific parts would be something like:
"Everything you need to know about our Presidential Platform is contained in this video, as said by the American People to Queen Elizabeth II (or, perhaps Prince Charles if it comes down to that)."
