To do otherwise would be to lie to you and deny you the truth. I hate the thought that anyone will spend eternity in hell, I can not help that those who have made that choice for themselves. There is no torture in hell, torture is not a punishment and hell is a punishment. You seem to have a misunderstanding of hell, it is not a place for the good and moral, it's a place for those who reject Christ no matter how good or moral one might or might not be.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
