If you ever read Herdon's Lincoln, we already have had an atheist president. Obama is very secular. He belongs to a church, but attends at Easter and Christmas. He had not been to church enough in 10 years to hear Jeremiah Wright's service. He was raised secular, and like Lincoln uses religion for political purposes. I believe having Obama in the WH is better than having an open atheist who would get a lot of scrutiny. Don't expect "God" to come off coins. What really disgusts me on that issue is that the ACLU doesn't have the balls to take it on.
