If there was a God, the world would be just. But since the part of the world we observe is not just, there would, for the world to be just, need to be an afterlife. So, if there is no afterlife, there is no cosmic justice, and thus there is no God.
You're wrong. Souls could exist and have an explanation apart from God. Souls could exist and God not exist. God could exist and souls not exist.
Who says the existence of God would make the world just, or that justice requires God to exist? Suppose God prefers an unjust world - he could simply be malicious and the Universe is just God's version of pulling the wings off of flies.
Also, I'm not at all convince that an afterlife is a requirement for justice. Since human beings don't operate on a cosmic scale, we can't possibly have an idea of what this 'cosmic justice' of yours looks like. Additionally, it isn't immediately obvious that an afterlife requires the existence of God.
