There's a group of people in the neighborhood who are having a fit over a proposed apartment complex being built near our neighborhood. One thing that is lacking in this town is the availability of rental properties for people who aren't in a position to buy a home or people who want to try out the town. We have a new college campus but no housing to accommodate students.
One of the gripes for this group is that apartment dwellers wouldn't respect our small town vibe or our old, established neighborhoods. The group wants people to turn out for a meeting tomorrow night (yep - a week and a half after Christmas and days after New Year's Eve) to fight this invasion of people who won't respect the homeowners.
How do I know about this? The note, printed on both sides, that was taped to my front door - right above the "No Soliciting" sign.
