It's something that we'll be able to check back on. If OLB is correct, we should expect to find an uptick in concealed weapons violations. However we slice it, the reg allows law enforcement to remove more guns from the premises than it could before.
If the people respond by going full on johnny reb, then..obviously, the governmenets guns laws were never the danger to the people - that would be those enemies of the state the very reg grants some protection against.
It's such a simple thing. If you have a bunch of nuts who've brought guns to the statehouse to menace lawmakers, and a bunch of planned sedition events across the nation, you say "no guns here". It's already illegal, in plenty of places, to carry a gun into the statehouse.
