In Portland Oregon there was a show called Ramblin' Rod. Ostensibly it was a show where kids would watch cartoons and give buttons to Ramblin' Rod. During the taping of the show we watched no cartoons but were filmed getting hyped up before getting to watch cartoons. There was a smile contest.... and oh yeah, that guy hated kids! You could almost hear him roll his eyes every time a kid gave him a button. He wore a vest covered in them and had a wall that was also covered in buttons. His show used to be the Rusty Nails show which is the clown that inspired Matt Groening to create Krusty the Klown.
