Update.
Have not hunted. I checked the bait - and there is a snow cover. The only thing that has been eating the bait is a red tailed hawk. No coyote tracks.
Funny thing - the deer have been checking out the bait pile.
It must be like their version of a train wreck. They just can't not look.....
