I bet that anyone who calls the cops on their nine year old is having a pretty unique day, yeah. None of that sounds like my average friday afternoon. I don't really know whether our parenting should be judged by our worst day - but that would be a job for dcf...and they might have handled things differently. So, let's just stick to things that might be relevant to cops?
Daughter accuses the mother of stabbing the father.
Mother says the father always has his hands on the daughter.
Mom says the father had her in a headlock and that the blood was hers, not the fathers, -
So, we show up and a plump nine year old is marching down the street pursuant to some altercation referred to above.
Do we
A, shoot the nearest passerby.
B, ram our patrol car into a telephone pole, drunk
or
c, mace the kid
Personally, I think that a would be more in character, b would be the most explicable, and c is just wondering whether we'd get away with it.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
