justthetruth Wrote: The universe had a beginning. Do atheist argue that fact? Some do, some don't. I do argue it. As the concept of a beginning in the absence of time (which came into existence at the big bang), suggest the boundary conditions would have been eternally in place, until quantum fluctuations would have bootstrapped a universe. The big bang only goes as far back as Planck time and we really do not know what the universe looked like 'before' that point (if the term before applies at all). Refer to the Hartle Hawking conjecture and the wave function of the universe, for the relevant models. Or you could say godidit if you want, but then you need to sketch out how godoneit, and you can't and as such it is totally meaningless with no explanatory power esp as it creates a bigger mystery wrt gods origins and subsequent playing of hide and seek for 14.7 bn years.

Quote:The question than stands, where did it come from? That right there is ground zero.why does something exist rather than nothing heh? Let me ask you bud what would nothing existing look like exactly? There has to be something, absloutely nothing has never been recorded throughout reality. The quantum vacuum is a seething mass of potentiality and is not and can never be nothing. So did the universe come from nothing? Who knows probably sort of as much as we can understand these concepts given current maths and physics. Did it come from the incantation of a magic sky man, nah probably not. But if it makes you feel better hang onto it.
One of two possible answers.
Quote:Sorry people , but I can not explain it any other way. God did it, or it did itself. I am betting my soul on God. I do not believe in aliens, but I do believe in seducing demonic spirits. I know who they are and where they come from. And they are not fallen angels. But that is another story for another time. Trool on brother. :wink shades:Thats because you are incredulous. You can bet on your soul if you like, but don't expect a return on your investment. Now you're getting a bit weird with demon talk so I'll take my leave. Happy reading.

Captain please don't leave. I perceive that you are an above average person of intelligence. I agree with the age of the universe you have mentioned. I love the study of the universe and all of the discoveries that have been made over the decades as the universe has opened itself up to the eyes of mankind. The Bible says the "heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth his handy work." I believe that time and the expanse of the universe work in concert. As far as God is concerned in the matter, it is irrelevant. God dwells in another dimension or state of reality. God dwells in timeless eternity. The universe itself is but a tiny bubble floating in this vast sea of timelessness. God created the universe and man for a special purpose. I know why he did it, and I know why he is almost finish with that plan. This all comes from a deep study of scripture and the insight of the Holy Spirit.
God has been successful in that he has gathered together a remnant that will join him in the realm of timeless eternity once he removes the universe from existence. The Bible also says it is impossible to please god without faith. I have a little faith and the faith is counted to me for righteousness. Time of which the universe is governed is running out on mankind. Our world is on the brink of financial collapse. It is just a matter of time before it all comes crashing down on us all. It will not take much for it to happen. God has his finger on the button. If you don't think so keep watching.
