You know, Last Podcast on the Left's series on Jeffrey Dahmer, in addition to all the grisly details and the jokes, actually does make a point of addressing how the anti-gay prejudices in Late Eighties and Early Nineties Milwaukee helped enable him to kill all these boys, namely that the boys he took in, gay and usually non-white (and likely shunned by their families for their sexuality), wound up going so off the radar that at one point, when one of his victims actually escaped, naked, rectally bleeding, on drugs, and possibly on literal acid (read: Jeffy injected Hydrochloric Acid in his frontal lobe and drilled a hole in his skull to turn him into a sex zombie; yes, really), the cops actually gave him back to Dahmer, who finished him later that night. The cops in question laughed about what they assumed was a "domestic squabble between homosexuals." At least until someone else managed to escape and call the authorities two months later.
