It involves them continuing to send me their church newsletter after I sent a letter to them requesting them to stop and removing my mailing address from their mailing list, which was back in late March. I do not know how I got on their mailing list, all I know is I never requested their damn church newsletter. I want a secular freethought lawyer to aid me in this. I will not be ignored, there will be repercussions for them. I live in Georgia. Any recommendations? Anyone else experienced this before?
I experienced an identical problem involving the Catholic high school I graduated from in 1966. A former classmate, against my specific wishes, sent them my name and address so that I would receive their mailings. I contacted the school twice by mail and three times by telephone, telling them to remove my name from their mailing lists. I finally had to have my lawyer send them a letter, telling them to cease and desist or face legal action. On his advice, I followed this up with a registered letter to the school's principal, ordering my name removed from their mailing lists. That worked and I no longer get their bulletins or fund raising literature.
