I didn't see it for the first time until the early 70s. But for a couple of decades I remember that film being a spring event on one of the 3 antenna networks, from year to year during the spring on the major networks. Although it was a few decades old at the time I first saw it, it was still crisp to me, meaning the detail and feeling just made at the time, that movie scared the crap out of me as a kid. I still love it, still wonderfully acted to this day. Also one of my favorite films of all time, and I am no fan of musicals. The Wicked Witch's voice frightened me, but the flying monkeys were even worse for me as a kid. Certainly a treasure for its time, and for fans, will always stand the test of time. I also feel the same about the first two "Jaws" movies.
It seems that we have similar tastes. Thanks for welcoming me.
I expect a year's supply of pocket lint, and your loyal oath to barbecue kittens, record the NFL without their permission, and rip the tags off of your mattress.
