If you want to argue like that, you are still making my point.
Too many in our species are ignoring others in our species who know we are fucking things up. So it ultimately may not matter how "smart" we think we are. If you are a passenger in a car shouting at the driver that they are about to run a red light, you can be right as rain, but if they don't listen to you, your being right means nothing if the driver runs the red light and you get T-boned.
I wasn’t arguing against you BRIAN, I was just clarifying your language. In th OP u stated “ Humans are NOT more important than other life” and then mixed important and apex up. We are apex merely for the fact we are so important to the ecology. I understood your driving point that while we have the most,we are seldom the best for the ecology of the planet; and I agree. But, if not us then whom?
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post
