I've gone from an occasional maternal in the last month to a state of being excited for adopted children in my future... is not it a shame that many hold such excitement at the prospect of biological children instead? If you ask me, I'd blame that conformist belief that you can't love an adopted child as much as your own(because it doesn't have your eyes, smile, etc.). But there is one thing that people forget: adopted kids are chosen.
I'd rather have a biological child myself(just one. I don't have a big enough attention span for more). However, if it turns out that I can't, I'm not going to waste time and money on treatments. I'm going to adopt a kid that needs a family more than any kid that would have my blood running through his/her veins. And I'm talking about a kid that's already here. I'm not going to wait until some 15-year-old from SmallSouthernTown, USA gets knocked up.
As for the whole "If everyone were bisexual..." point, as padraic said, that would be pretty boring. Frustrating, too. Imagine having to convince everyone that each and every one of your friends are just that: your friends.
Don’t ask.
