We would have preferred an adult doodle (my partner is allergic and needs a hypoallergenic dog), but there's a late pandemic rush on them apparently, so we got a four-month old Aussiedoodle last month and she has named him Finnigan. He's almost too much for her (she has MS), but he has had the desired effect of lifting her spirits over losing Cooper. Finn is clever and easily trained for tricks, slower to pick up on not doing undesired behaviors, but he's getting there. I'm sure a younger couple with more energy could make faster progress with him; but he'll be a less bitey and more housetrained puppy in a couple of weeks.
Condolences on Cooper.
Congrats on Finn. The Aussie genes might keep you hopping for awhile. Tried young ones = content owners.
