The OT God is a good role model if you crave power. The Hero of the NT......Jesus, of course.......appeals to people who have been beaten down by life, and seek comfort in the gentle arms of someone who loves them unconditionally. Both the OT God, and Jesus, appeal to me. While I fancy the idea of being loved unconditionally, I am something of a petty tyrant in my personal life......I tend to boss people around, and have little patience with stupid bullshit. I refuse to eat at restaurants with my Dad anymore because he takes too long to finish his food, and I hate having to sit there and wait for him to finish. Aside from stuff like that, I am very bitter, as a consequence of my life experiences. I wouldn't mind knocking some people down a peg, just to show them I am more powerful than them. Despite this desire for power, I am incredibly sensitive, emotionally, and handle criticism and conflict very poorly. Because of this, I hope Jesus is there for me.(August 21, 2021 at 7:24 pm)Neo-Scholastic Wrote: Not really. It is a dumb question. God can do anything ...he wants to do.

If god can't lie, does that mean he can't do everything?
