‘My Japanese ex-wife’ means ‘the Japanese woman who is no longer my wife.’

‘My ex-Japanese wife’ means ‘my wife who is no longer Japanese’.

Word order matters.

Nobody, not me, not you disagree that my ex wife was born in Japan. So that is why I m miffed that you would claim she is x Japanese.

I said she used to be my wife. I never claimed she stopped being born in Japan after she divorced me.

I never claimed she was ex-Japanese…YOU did. You clearly didn’t mean to, but it came off that way because you - just as clearly - don’t understand the difference between ‘Japanese ex-wife’ and ‘ex-Japanese wife’.
