First of all, I am not a mod.
Second of all, few decisions and actions are made by just one person. Though one person actually clicks the buttons to make things happen, there is usually discussion among the administrators before steps are taken.
And sometimes, the action taken by staff will be rescinded after further discussion. That this hasn’t happened in this case is very telling.
