Without more information, this estimate could easily have predated the first major wave and definitely predates the Delta variant. The document this is based upon clearly labels it as an estimate that may change as more data is accumulated.

Why are you using year-old graphics to make your points?

Frankly, the fact that the numbers doen’t even make any sense on their own terms should have been a major point of contention. Or does Ronaldo actually believe the CDC claims that 5.346% of the over-70s who catch COVID end up neither alive nor dead? Would the answer be the CDC tacitly confirming that the undead (zombies, vampires, and the like) are a thing, or does he think they have a discrete category for “only mostly dead” and can neither openly acknowledge it nor lump them in with the dead or even the living?

Also, he’s using the best-case scenario estimate as a baseline?
