A truly civilized society also are also not vigilantes.
If you want to argue fixing the system that is one thing.
But the old axiom "It is better to let the guilty go free, than to wrongfully convict the innocent", I will always stand by.
I sincerely warn everyone, that "in the moment" is not as important as long term stability. I get the anger and want of justice, but only case by case in the moment. The problem with sedentary mindset, is that innocent people can get caught up in bad logic.
In this particular case, it DOES seem obvious. But that does not mean anyone should skip due process.
I am NOT defending this guy. I am merely saying that in the past, and in the future, it is always prudent and will always be prudent to value the process.
I hated that OJ and Casey got off. But that is the system we have. It is far better than the court of religion that Saudi Arabia and Iran and now Taliban controlled Afghanistan.
I'd bet my life this guy killed her. But that is not for me to decide.
