Sometimes I just state opinions as well, but before doing so, I ask myself what the basis for my opinions are, and how I might defend them.
Just putting out "X is bad" or "I believe Y" doesn't add anything to the discussion. We won't be persuaded to a new way of thinking, and you aren't in any danger of learning something about your own views.
