We had one Mexican restaurant for while. It was cleverly named "Tequila Sunrise". Unfortunately, the name was the best thing about the place. Didn't last long. No, I do not often have anything remotely Mexican. Make chilli con carne about once a year (it does not have beans unless I'm feeling really lazy) Have always wanted to make a savoury dish using chocolate. Not sure authentic Mexican chocolate is available here.
In the future, Taco Bell will be the only restaurant to survive the Franchise Wars. At least, that's according to the film Demolition Man.

I'm perfectly happy with that, because not having Taco Bell means we would have no fast food chains. In my opinion allowing fast food chains is one of the most stupidly self destructive things we've ever done to ourselves. The product is pretty much irrelevant. The behaviour the same; massive consumption of redundant protein, sugar, starch and simple carbohydrates. The outcome is nations of super sized human beings who cut decades off their life expectancy.
Should people be protected from themselves in this instance? Abso-fucking-lutely, simply for the cost to the community of such self destructive behaviour. Please don't misunderstand, I have no problem with people eating themselves to death, as long as I'm not paying for it.
As far as I'm aware Australia has proportionally more obese people than the US.
Has always struck me as counter intuitive that poor people are every bit as likely to be obese as the middle class.
