I actually agree. The claim that gods exist is an unfalsifiable claim. Not sure why one would want to take on the burden of proof, to claim that they don't exist, when it is not necessary.

It doesn't follow from there being no god that there is no afterlife, it's extremely unlikely, though.

Buddhism, for example, does not have any god beliefs, yet they have a belief in an afterlife.

but it really messes with your head somewhat (at least I think so) after something you thought to be the truth for so long turns out to be a web of lies and that people you thought were real turns out to be fictional creations to support a religion that was bent on controlling the population with absurd laws and rules. 

What people turned out to be fictional creations.... according to you? Do you think that the historical Jesus or the historical Muhammad didn't exist.. for example? or simply that their disciples corrupted their teachings...? 

It is possible to believe they existed as historical people, and disbelieve in the mythical supernatural properties attributed to them.  

Some well known atheists converted back to theism, heavy hitters in the philosophy of religion like Antony Flew were convinced by theistic arguments. You, on the other hand, seem to be too certain about your position.

Anthony Flew, when his mind was obviously not at its peak, was convinced, for bad reasons (the flawed argument from design, your favorite). And he only became a deist, not a theist. He had no beliefs in any any ancient mythological texts.

The universe did not come from 'nothing', it came from 'everything'. It's just that it was in a different state before it began to expand at the Big Bang.

Our current presentation of the universe, is just different than what it was 'before' the BB.
