Of course, if you think the Jesus Seminar has any merit, Jesus was actually crucified for being a public nuisance, and with outbursts like this, it’s no wonder the Romans would have nailed him to a cross.





And it’s not like any of the Evangelists have ever denied this incident took place. Indeed, it’s one of only a few actions represented in all four Gospels (unless you count the version in John as a separate event).

So, no matter how you look at it, he’s still guilty.

It’s also telling that these “Christians” have apparently decided these far-right figures that would no doubt have been criticized to Hell and back by Jesus if he had known them have been elevated to a status that’s about on par with Jesus.

Yeah. Jesus is kind of a jerk in this. I mean, he didn't drive anyone out with a whip or anything, but still.

And wasn't the destruction of the temple much later? What is this "three days" shit? Also, I like how Jesus oscillates between bringing a "new law" and "not changing a jot or tittle."

"I come with a sword." -- "Blessed are the peacemakers." All this in between cursing fig trees for not being in season and making pigs suicidal during his downtime. I need more LSD to understand the Gospels.

Not to mention curing lepers without their permission and leaving them without a trade.
