That's not how politics works, my friend, so stop being naive. You are more intelligent than that. It was likely a combination of the protests/border blockage, the facts of covid declining, and upcoming elections. The Premiere said in the video "It's time for us to heal the divisions in our community over vaccination". Did you even watch the video? Sounds like I can't read, and you can't click a play button. He wasn't referring to the protests when he was talking about division in our community over the vaccine, right? What world are you living in right now? And they don't usually just announce an abrupt end to restrictions happening almost immediately, "within hours". That's not how these things have happened in the past. This is being done much differently. And if I had posted the covid information coming out of those places, I highly doubt you would have been in support of taking masks off of the children in schools and no longer requiring vaccine passports, so there's that too.
1) You argue that politicians aren't going to just say they're giving into demands, and citing that part of the reason for the new measures are because of the protests and because of the upcoming elections. A bit of a contradiction there, innit? Although, that said, given that said premier has tended to have a fairly lax view of handling the pandemic from the beginning, I suspect that the convoy gave him a semi-decent excuse to do what he was already inclined to do anyway.
2) COVID-19 may be declining, but how long will that last, and will that decline keep up when restrictions are lifted or will it start to flare up again? It happened the first time America tried reopening, and it's still happening. And if you want to ask when I think we should be able to reopen safely, I'd have to say, I don't know, ask one of the actual experts.
3) Yes, there has been division in communities over the vaccine since before the convoy started its protests. Unfortunately, it's mostly due to the spread of misinformation and people being primed to not listen to those who actually know what they're talking about.
No, it's not a contradiction and I don't see any point you are making here. The Premiere said we need to heal the divide, but he didn't outright say he was giving in to any demands. This is how politicians speak. If the Premiere was already inclined to do this and this gave him the extra push needed, that's still a win and we'll take it.
Both sides have been spreading dis/misinformation, but for some reason you always have an excuse to cover for your side when they are shown to be wrong over and over again. Fauci and the establishment spread the lie that vaccinations were the route to herd immunity with covid. This narrative turned out to be completely false, and the establishment and Fauci were either completely guessing and throwing shit at the wind, or they outright lied. You, Rev. Rye, and Sungula and others posted misinformation and claimed that vaccination was better than natural immunity. You were wrong. Why did you post misinformation? I believe it was Nudge who posted that Omicron was only less severe for the vaccinated. Again, this is misinformation, and I showed this to be misinformation. President Joe Biden, Rachel Maddow, the ladies of the View, and on and on told us that vaccinated people are not going to get the virus or pass it on. Lies. According to you, my side of this, who can't read and are basically all retards, should just completely submit to the mainstream and their falsehoods when they lie over and over again, and you smear us as hating science when your side has been debunked by science over and over again? You need to take a long look in the mirror and at your own side.
