I think you're aware here that you are committing an ad populum? Be that as it may, I wouldn't consider 1,9 billion people to be a small minority.
That's 5th of the world's population and it's probably smaller because most of those Muslims (who believe him) are not allowed to say that they don't believe him. So it seems that most Muslims don't believe Mohammad because it makes sense but because they will be killed.
