This fitness business is so damn frustrating
There just seems to be no correlation at all between exertion and heart rate; trying to workout at a certain heart rate, which is supposed to be zone 2, slow pace or 'easy'... in my case worked out as between 126 and 139 bpm - and some days I can get that and maintain it no problem, and it does indeed feel 'easy' and slow,
whereas others, like today, despite powering as fast as I could on the treadmill, I couldn't get that heart rate anywhere near it... more like 100 maximum. I just wish I understood what I'm doing wrong
I just so need a personal trainer... I can pay in hugs
or kudos if anyone's interested
It's also strange that this watch thinks I'm fit for my age... my VO2 score... and consistently reads my resting heart rate as low - around 46 on average - despite that supposedly being the sort of range for professional athletes, which I certainly am not. So I just don't know what to make of all this really, especially since the way I'm calculating those zones is using that resting heart rate... so if there's something wrong with me or the watch, then getting that wrong could have all sorts of negative ripple effects.
