Misconceptions about the Bible

You act like the Bible is some monolithic document (like the US Constitution), and, it's not.  Only Christian evangelicals see the Bible as such, some divinely inspired, even inerrant, text, from Genesis through Revelation; no modern scholar, even believers, would defend such a notion.

I've clearly stated that the Bible isn't divinely inspired, inerrant text. So either way you condemn me, correct? 

As for spending $150K on a PhD, once again, you betray yourself with such words.  If you have excellent grades with excellent  test scores and are willing to impress a graduate admissions committee with your devotion, passion and (very) hard work, there is a University out there who will provide housing, (some) healthcare and a modest monetary stipend to support you completely in the completion of your terminal degree.

Fantastic. It's just not for me, at least not with the Bible. I don't care about religion. It's stupid.
