Genesis means exactly what it says, not what you imagine it says. It is talking about the Earth and the Sky - all of creation as far as the ancient mind understood it.
Light. Matter. One must come first, or they come to exist at the same time. 3 choices. If someone gets it right, God must exist?
I'm actually on the "same time" bandwagon. Blackbody radiation from the start of a transparent universe was considerably after the Big Bang, but the photon itself would have come into being at the same time as what we understand as "matter".
If I get it right, and write it in a book about Norse gods, does that prove that Odin exists?
