A federal judge sentenced singer and convicted sexual predator R. Kelly to 30 years in prison Wednesday.

Kelly was convicted last September of racketeering and violating the Mann Act, a sex trafficking law, including having sex with underage girls. He could have faced up to life in prison.

So R. Kelly was convicted on two charges, neither of which had specifically NOTHING to do with minors? make it make sense

RICO charges (racketeering) were from violating the Mann Act also known as 'The White-Slave Traffic Act' , which was a racist law created in 1910 and famously used to imprison Jack Johnson (a black man) for having sex with white women.

In its original form the act made it a felony to engage in interstate or foreign commerce transport of "any woman or girl for the purpose of prostitution or debauchery, or for any other immoral purpose".

"Immoral purpose" is very vague terminology.

Meanwhile Ghislaine Maxwell is convicted on SIX charges SPECIFIC to minors and gets less time than R. Kelly.

Enticing a minor to travel to engage in criminal sexual activity  

Transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity

Three counts of conspiracy.

Ghislaine Maxwell = 20 years, R. Kelly = 30 years.

Not saying that R.Kelly is innocent, I want you to make sense of why he received more prison time than Ghislaine Maxwell...
