It looks like America's education system is even worse than I would have expected. I would have expected there to at least be some fucking standards, but evidently this isn't the case.
Point 1: While, yes, there's always been some degree of rebellion in kids, this strikes me as a whole new level. Even when we hated the assignments and even when we hated the teachers, we at least did the fucking homework. It might have ended up shit, but at least they didn't need to bribe us with candy just to do the fucking work. And at least there were some consequences, whether it's detention or failure. But, apparently, even when there are consequences, (which is less common than you'd think) you still have to deal with parents who've basically become Karens who don't see much more of a point in the rules than their kids.
If you've ever balked at Ethan Crouch's affluenza defense, saying something like, "Even if he was spoilt rotten by his parents, surely he must have learned about right and wrong from somewhere, like their schools," parents like these (and from what we know, Crouch's parents were exactly that kind of parent) are why I don't buy into that premise.
Point 2: Before some members chalk all this up to the ineffectiveness of electronic learning post-COVID, it should be pointed out that the majority of these issues were already present before shit got real, and she's even made videos about these problems dating back to February, when we thought the plague was going to be contained to China and there was nothing to worry about for the West.
Point 3: How the fuck are her braids in focus when nothing else, including her face, is?
