When the first rumbling of the black mermaid started, I read her name as Halle Berry and wondered not why have a black mermaid but thought that she may be a little old to play the part (not that she doesn't look fantastic). I had to read it again and pick up the correct last name. I didn't dwell much on the age of the mermaid and didn't dwell at all on her skin color.
